Board & Train on the North Shore: Lynnfield Guide

Short answer: Board & train at Pawmenities in Lynnfield means your dog stays with us and works with professional trainers every day, with boarding included. Programs are One-Week ($999), Two-Week ($1,799) and the One-Month Boot Camp ($2,499). Every program ends with a one-on-one owner session, so the skills carry over at home.

Weekly group classes give your dog an hour of practice. Board & train gives them practice all day, during meals, walks, play and rest. For busy North Shore families, that daily consistency is why new habits stick faster. Here's how it works and how to choose a program.

What your dog works on

You choose the focus areas when you book. Common goals include:

  • Sit, stay, down and a reliable recall
  • Loose-leash walking on North Shore sidewalks and trails
  • Polite greetings without jumping
  • Crate manners and potty routines
  • Calm behavior around other dogs and people

Choosing a program

  • One-Week ($999): 7 days, foundation obedience, up to 2 focus areas. A strong head start.
  • Two-Week ($1,799): 14 days, advanced skills and polish, up to 3 focus areas. Our most popular choice.
  • One-Month Boot Camp ($2,499): 30 days, up to 5 focus areas, for dogs who need the biggest reset.

Every program includes daily progress updates, boarding, a one-on-one owner training session and take-home instructions.

Reactive or anxious dogs

Reactive and anxious dogs are welcome. Tell us up front, and we'll build the program around one-on-one work in a calm setting, away from the group. Read more in our guide to board & train for leash-reactive dogs.

Age and eligibility

Puppies can join once their core vaccines are done, usually around 16 weeks. There's no upper age limit, and we adjust the pace for older dogs. Spay or neuter isn't required. Vaccines needed are rabies, DHPP and Bordetella, all current.

Bringing it home

The owner session at pickup is where training becomes yours. We show you the exact cues, hand signals and routines your dog learned, then send you home with written instructions. Practice for a few minutes each day and the results hold.

Pairing training with daycare and boarding

Many families keep skills fresh with regular daycare on the North Shore, where staff reinforce the same cues. If you're traveling, a training program can double as your dog's stay. See our North Shore boarding guide for what to pack and expect.
